Accessibility
We want SaaStore to work for everyone. Here's where we stand, what we're doing, and how to tell us when we fall short.
Our commitment
SaaStore is committed to making this site usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We design and build with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target, and we are working toward progressive implementation of the Israeli accessibility standard for websites (IS 5568, based on WCAG 2.0 Level AA) under the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law - aiming higher wherever we can.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time checkbox. The site changes often, and we keep working on it.
What we've done so far
- A user-controlled accessibility preferences panel, available on every page via the floating accessibility button (lower-left of the screen) or the Alt+A keyboard shortcut. The panel lets you adjust text size, line spacing, contrast (high contrast, inverted colours, monochrome), cursor size and colour, motion (stop animations), and link/heading highlighting. Your choices persist across pages and visits in your browser.
- Semantic HTML and ARIA roles where they help screen readers and other assistive technology.
- A keyboard-operable interface - you can browse the catalog, use the filters, open a listing, and manage your account without a mouse.
- Visible focus indicators, so you can see where you are on the page.
- Colour contrast for body text and controls designed to meet the WCAG AA threshold.
- Alternative text on meaningful images and icons.
- A responsive layout that holds up at 200% browser zoom and on small screens.
- Forms with associated labels and clear, text-based error messages.
Known limitations
We're a small team and the product moves fast, so some things aren't there yet:
- Seller-uploaded content - screenshots, descriptions, and the external sites listings link to - is created by sellers, and we can't guarantee its accessibility.
- A few interactive components (some sliders, embeds, and third-party widgets) may not be fully usable with every assistive technology.
- We have not yet completed a formal third-party accessibility audit.
We treat reported accessibility barriers as priority bugs.
Externally hosted software
Many listings link out to software hosted and operated by independent sellers, not by SaaStore. The accessibility of those external sites and apps is the responsibility of the seller who runs them and is outside our control.
Tell us about a problem
If something on saastore.ai is hard or impossible to use, please tell us - we want to fix it. Let us know the page, what you were trying to do, what went wrong, and the assistive technology and browser you were using if you can. We'll get back to you and treat it as a priority.
